Vietnamese Porkchop with Rice - Com Suon
This simple Vietnamese dish is a staple at most restuarants. Vietnamese porkchop is marinated in a savoury sauce and is then grilled or fried to a crisp brown. It is then served over rice and accompanied with a light fish sauce and freshly sliced tomato and cucumber. Often, com suon is served with bi (shredded salted pork) or trung op la, that is, an egg over-easy.

Fried Rice - Com Chien
There are many ingredients that one can choose to put into Vietnamese fried rice, and thus it is difficult to define what this dish constitutes of. Most of the time, rice is fried with cooked vegetables, such as peas, corn, and vegetables, along with Chinese sausage (lap suong), then flavoured with a sweet soy sauce and scrambled eggs.

Lemongrass Chicken, with Rice - Com Ga Xao Xa Ot
In this dish, boneless, skinless chicken is marinated in finely chopped lemongrass, as well as garlic, ginger, chili peppers, and fish sauce. The chicken is usually left overnight to allow it time to soak up the flavours. The chicken is then cooked in a skillet of oil and sugar combination, which gives it a caramelized appearance. Hints of ginger, garlic, and lemongrass can all be detected in this deliciously flavourful dish. Most restaurants serve this dish with a side of steamed white rice.
